Here are Bill's Woodpecker-Feeder.com photos of a Northern Flicker feeding at one of his test feeders (taken 2/3/09).  The Flicker stayed at the feeder for a least 10 minutes before flying off.  The feeder is kind of worn out, but you get the idea.  This is our 12" feeder and the Flicker doesn't mind the smaller size a bit.
