What is Suet?

Suet Defined.  Suet can be beef or pork fat that is found around the kidney or loin area of an animal.  Suet is also derived from vegetable fat.  Suet from either source and in this form is a highly concentrated source of energy that your wild birds need all year round, and especially so during the cold winter months when insects and other natural high protein foods become difficult to find.
